With lead singer Fyfe Dangerfield busy putting the finishing touches to album number three, all is looking healthy in camp Guillemots. Drummer Greig Stewart is still using his beloved SPD-S sampling pad to help them along. Recording the record in an old synagogue is one of the reasons we love the band, and make it all worth the wait.

6/5/2009 - Groove Armada

Their most famous work is the 2000 international hit I See You Baby, remixed by Fatboy Slim in the big beat style - with the repeated chorus line "Shakin' that ass," as heard in Renault Mégane advertisements. They’re currently using the full range of Roland acoustic triggers, Boss pedals and the expressive RD-700SX stage piano. This year, these statesmen of dance are about to joint-headline the opening of ‘Wonderland’ club night at Ibiza’s Eden club with DJ Pete Tong and they are also doing loads of summer European festivals including their very own ‘Lovebox’ in London. The new Groove Armada EP, released in partnership with Bacardi B-Live, is now available to download from iTunes.

6/5/2009 - Massive Attack

With their new Boss RE-20 Space Echo fully onboard, the dance legends continue to make innovative and classic dance music. Plus, with Blue Lines named as the number one in the top 50 dance albums of all time in Mix Mag, it’s just another day at the office for the Bristol act. Did we mention they just received an Ivor Novello award for outstanding contribution to British Music? Go and see why when they tour later in the year...

The boys from Leeds are about to embark on USA tour with Green Day in July. As for you gamers out there, they have a new song to be featured on Guitar Hero 5 due out in September this year.

6/5/2009 - Iron Maiden

22 years on, and 45 million album sales under their belts, you would think that Iron Maiden might want to take it easy. Think again. New DVD called ‘Flight 666’ follows the band on their recent world tour where singer Bruce Dickenson actually flies the band on his special ‘eddie’ Iron Maiden Jet. With their GR-20 guitar synthesizer always present in the hold of the plane, it was always going to be a smooth ride.... Up the Irons!
